Monster Hunter Wilds

During Summer Game Fest, Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds , showing off the new monster and dynamic weather conditions players will encounter. Reporters also saw a 30-minute demo in which additional details were revealed, including visible wounds on monsters that can be used to increase damage.

New locations in Forbidden Lands are also worth checking out. A Capcom representative told GamesRadar that the maps are "more than twice the size" of previous games. This means that there will be several large monsters in one region.

Additionally, lightning and sandstorms will change the environment, opening up new resources to collect. Periods of "abundance" will be random and will provide "free healing" via healing wasps, although details are not yet known. This may also mean that some resource nodes will produce more materials.

Monster Hunter Wilds releases in 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. It will support cross-play for the first time. The demo will be available at Gamescom in August, so stay tuned for that.
