Persistence Enhanced

Firesprite
has revealed the arrival of The Persistence Enhanced to PS5, Xbox Series and PC for June 4, being a completely free jump for current owners of the game.

The Persistence Enhanced will feature improvements in lighting, textures and ray-tracing technology making a difference in its atmosphere and tension. Immersive haptic feedback will also be present in the DualSense on PlayStation 5.

The video game will place the user as the sole survivor of a failed exploration mission in deep space aboard the colonization ship The Persistence, where a strange and devastating accident caused by the inappropriate use of dark matter has taken place. Due to this mishap, the huge spaceship has been adrift and very close to a black hole, so the player will have to react quickly to solve the situation. However, the accident has caused the entire crew to mutate into horrible and bloody aberrations that users will have to face if they want to repair the ship and return to Earth alive. In addition, the ship itself is prepared to configure itself, which will cause its design to constantly change due to the failure it has suffered,

In this way, every time the player dies or teleports to another floor, the configuration of the ship will change completely, changing the scenarios and making it have different enemies to face, new objects to find and power-ups to get and improve.

In this sense, The Persistence is a rogue-lite type video game with procedural scenarios in which, although death will be permanent, our survivor will be cloned every time he falls down. In this way, with each new life, the player will be able to improve the survivor's DNA sequence to improve their skills and resistance in order to successfully face the mission.
