Star Wars video games will arrive again under the signature of Lucasfilm Games

A few years ago the Star Wars franchise was not owned by Disney, the controlling entity that edited the games in the franchise was LucasArts. Old-school fans will remember the Lucasfilm Games logo that accompanied older Star Wars titles (and a host of other titles) before it was fully disbanded.

Today it was announced that the Lucasfilm Games brand will return and they have done so by displaying their new logo. As of now, it looks like it will only be attached to Star Wars titles including newer ones like Fallen Order and Squadrons .

Official identity for games

EA has had exclusive rights to video game adaptations for several years, and there is no indication that this will have a direct impact on that, at least as of now. As the announcement on the official website says , it also does not mean that Disney is returning to direct game development and will continue to license the property.

The next game that is in the sights for fans of the Force is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga , which is scheduled to launch in 2021 . Another of the most successful installments in recent years has been Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which put us in the shoes of a Jedi determined to save the galaxy.
