Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has become one of the best games of the year (so far) and an incredible success for developer Warhorse Studios. For many players, it is a near-perfect RPG, but despite the high praise from the community, Warhorse Studios itself wants to make adjustments and improve some aspects.
KCD2 director Daniel Vávra held a charity stream, during which he raised an impressive amount of 3 million Czech crowns (over $125,000). During the stream, Vávra, as expected, spoke in detail about the recently released game.
Vávra reportedly explained during the stream that he was "surprised" that few people were talking about the balance issues in the later stages of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 , particularly around the combat system and the economy, which can become too easy. Vávra was said to have specifically mentioned the game's economy, where players can collect expensive items, but merchants don't have enough money to buy them back.
Vávra said the developers are aware of the issues and plan to address them in the future, but the studio can't say when they'll be ready. In addition to the work required to make these changes, Vávra expressed concern about the potential impact on many players' first playthroughs of the game, especially given the vast amount of content.
In any case, it's good to hear that Warhorse is monitoring potential issues that players are having and is already considering fixes, even if they may take some time to implement. Hopefully, once most players have completed the main part of the game, Warhorse can begin making these balance adjustments. Currently, only 12% of players have completed the story of KCD2 .
