STALKER 2

A day after the release of the first major update for STALKER 2 , developers from GSC GameWorld released the second patch version 1.0.2 . The size of the update for PC is 8 GB, and its main purpose is to fix problems and bugs in quests.

For those hoping for an improvement to the A-Life 2.0 system, this update does not yet address this aspect. The developers are focusing on fixing errors related to the passage of certain missions.

One example of the fixes is a solution to the problem when enemies in the mission "Down Below" could spawn in places inaccessible to the player, blocking progress. The patch also fixes some EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors, increasing the stability of the game on PC.

It is important to note that patch 1.0.2 does not contain any performance or optimization improvements. The game continues to run on Unreal Engine 5.1.1, and the transition to a newer version of the engine has not yet taken place.

In addition, all previously published modifications for STALKER 2 should be compatible with the new version of the game. The first patch did not disrupt the mods, and this one, being smaller in scale, will not cause conflicts either.

If you encountered bugs that prevent you from completing quests, patch 1.0.2 may solve some of them. However, for global improvements and optimization, players will most likely have to wait for the next updates.
