Returnal , the new game from HouseMarque studio, has been delayed until April 2021 . This new IP was going to be the first great PS5 exclusive that would come out on March 19, but now its creators have announced that the title will arrive a month later. The Japanese company PlayStation has revealed the new release day in April and they have also explained the reason why they need more development time .
New date and reason for the delay
As they explain from the PlayStation Twitter , it is due to the fact that Housemarque needs a little more time to polish it and offer us an experience with the quality standards by which the studio's works have been characterized over the years . Not much more details have been provided, but hopefully this additional month will help the development team to get the title in optimal condition for publication.
Returnal will be a frenetic third-person action adventure with a roguelike structure exclusive to PlayStation 5 . In this way, we will have to make our way through some procedurally generated scenarios while we shoot everything that moves driving the character Selene, in a hostile alien world full of dark creatures. To survive we will have an arsenal of weapons and artifacts, which we will find during our adventure.
