Koei Tecmo has announced that it has brought charges against an individual who published a DVD with modified Dead or Alive material of a sexual nature . This tape contained material from various games in the series, Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, which had been modified to remove clothing items, among other things, and was sold at auction .
Despite the modifications made, Koei Tecmo found that the material violated its copyright and referred the case to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department. The Japanese company intends to file a criminal case and a civil suit against the suspect for distributing the company's creations without authorization.
