Dispatch

AdHoc Studios revealed some interesting details about the development of the superhero tragicomedy Dispatch . The developers' initial vision differed significantly from the final version of the game.

According to creative director Nick Herman, the project wasn't conceived as a typical superhero story, but rather as a drama about work relationships. The initial concept lacked a large-scale battle and a traditional confrontation with the main antagonist. The team championed this approach for a long time, resisting the idea of a grand finale.

Some observers attribute the successful execution of the final confrontation to the clever casting of Matt Mercer as the villain. However, the studio emphasizes that the key element that emotionally unified the ending was not a human character, but the protagonist's pet dog, Biff. The creators prefer to remain tight-lipped, avoiding spoilers.
