GSC GameWorld has released update 1.5.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and shared a full list of changes. The new patch focuses on fixing a number of issues that prevented the game from playing normally.
It's worth noting right away that patch 1.5.1 does not improve the overall performance of the title or reduce the freezes that players experience when exploring the area. So don't expect any improvements in terms of optimization from it.
The update fixes an issue where some NPCs would not go into cover while in autonomous mode during Ejection. It also resolves a situation where an NPC's corpse could fly away after being killed with a headshot. A bug where NPC corpses could become displaced after being picked up for the second time has been fixed. Additionally, the patch fixes an issue where NPCs could get stuck while walking in one place.
Patch 1.5.1 fixes two crashes that caused the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error, which should make the game more stable. It also fixes a bug that caused the field of view to reset to 110 on ultra-wide monitors. The patch prevents mutants and NPCs from spawning in places where they should not be. And NPCs will no longer get stuck in each other when patrolling. Fixed an issue where the Windows scale setting affected the game in fullscreen and windowed modes.
