Throughout 2024, Bethesda studio was actively developing Starfield. The game received a large number of major updates that added new features, fixed some mechanics and improved gameplay in many areas. The last update was released in November 2024, and then the release of patches ceased.
In early May, Bethesda unveiled a new update for Starfield — the first in 2025. Players were able to test it on Steam, and testing of patch 1.15.214 is still ongoing. It has been announced that its release is scheduled for this week.
Bethesda has announced on social media that Kinggath Creations' major Watchtower mod will be released this week, on May 22, "alongside the next Starfield update."
Recall that after the release of the first DLC for Starfield in September last year, the project's development director Todd Howard stated that the game would receive a large-scale second year of support, but the roadmap has not yet been presented.
