DOOM: The Dark Ages has become the most successful part of the franchise

 Bethesda and id Software have announced that the latest installment in the DOOM franchise, DOOM: The Dark Ages , has become the most successful launch in the series' history.

In less than a week after launch, the game has amassed over three million players, seven times faster than its previous game, DOOM Eternal.

Thanks for making DOOM: The Dark Ages the biggest launch in  history, hitting 3 million players 7x faster than DOOM Eternal. 

 

DOOM: The Dark Ages is a prequel to 2016's DOOM and DOOM Eternal, telling the story of the rise of the DOOM Slayer's wrath in a "medieval war" against the Beasts of Hell. Players will take down enemies with returning fan-favorite weapons like the Super Shotgun and new ones like the Shield Saw.
