Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently sat down with IGN for an interview, where he was asked about the potential for players to continue to invest in GTA Online in 2025, with the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI set to release later this year.
He explained that while it's impossible to talk about GTA VI directly , much less its online presence, until an official announcement has been made, Take-Two has always supported a game as long as the community remains engaged.
As an example, he cited NBA 2K Online, which launched in China in 2012, followed by NBA 2K Online 2 in 2017. Despite the arrival of this new version, the first game has never been abandoned and remains available. Thus, Take-Two and Rockstar Games could continue to support GTA Online for as long as necessary, provided that players remain active and invested.
