BioWare

It's looking more and more like a slow and painful death for BioWare. While a restructuring has recently been underway, a new report has just come out via Jason Schreier at Bloomberg.

While the studio had over 200 employees two years ago, the workforce has been reduced to less than 100 people now. Dozens of people have been laid off and others have been placed on other projects at Electronic Arts. While these transfers were initially meant to be temporary, the American publisher has decided to make them permanent.

BioWare has been slowly draining itself of talent. Mass Effect is being developed by a small team, led by a company veteran who oversaw the original trilogy and Anthem . EA may decide to hire more people in the future if necessary.
