STALKER 2

GSC GameWorld has released another update for the PC version of STALKER 2. Like the previous patch, version 1.1.3 weighs in at around 7.4 GB.

This is a small hotfix that does not make any major changes to game balance or the A-Life system. You should also not expect any performance improvements.

The main change is a temporary solution to prevent crashes during shader compilation by skipping shader preparation. This will allow players who were having stability issues to bypass this step and start playing.

The patch also fixes several ACCESS VIOLATION ERROR errors and a problem with loss of control after shooting, reloading and examining an artifact.

The developers have added a system for backing up saves. Backups can be found at:

In theory, the patch should be compatible with existing mods.
