Bayonetta 3 has sold more than one million copies since its launch . More precisely, it has sold 1.04 million, as emerged from the company's latest financial report, proving to be a very successful title, although obviously intended for a niche of players compared to other exclusive first party Nintendo.
Launched in Q3, Bayonetta 3 has produced better results than the other chapters. Indeed, the Nintendo Switch version of Bayonetta 2 achieved the same sales in December 2021, struggling to sell 400,000 copies on Wii U. The first Bayonetta has sold more than two million copies, but considering all the systems on which it was launched, therefore not only Nintendo Switch, but also PS3 and Xbox 360, among others.
Bayonetta 3 is therefore strong in a promising result for the continuation of the series, even if it makes a certain effect when compared with other Nintendo successes, such as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet which, despite having received a lot of criticism, managed to place 20.61 million of copies.
