Yesterday Netflix and Microsoft officially announced that a live action film and an animated series of Gears of War are in development , which will obviously be released on the well-known streaming platform over the next few years.

So yes, these forty million copies sold take into account the first chapter, released on the market in 2006 on Xbox 360 , up to Gears 5 released now on Xbox One consoles and PC .
