The BAFTA Video Games Awards (British Academy Games Awards) are awards given annually by the BAFTA, to honor outstanding achievements in creativity within the video game industry, with more than 10 categories in which any developer and title can participate, always and when their achievements fall within certain parameters, this is the case of Sea of Thieves, who participated in the Envolving Game category.

This is the second time the BAFTA Games Awards have had to be an online-only event, following last year's ceremony that took place at the beginning of Britain's original COVID-19 lockdown.
A year has passed since then, and it was a year that many of us were able to regain control by working from home or simply to divert our minds from the euphoria of the outside world. Sea of Thieves was glorified with the Envolving Game award, this category recognizes ongoing games that keep fans engaged with regular updates.
