At the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, DON'T NOD announced their new game Aphelion with a trailer that reveals the plot and key gameplay elements. Check out the trailer below.
Aphelion focuses on exploring an alien planet with its mountains and ravines, with an emphasis on storytelling but not without its tense moments despite the lack of obvious enemies.
The story revolves around the discovery of the ninth planet in the solar system, Persephone. The European Space Agency sends the Hope 01 mission with astronauts Ariane and Thomas to explore the planet and assess its suitability for colonization. After the ship crashes, the heroes are separated and forced to fight the harsh conditions of the planet to reunite. Players will take on the role of Ariane in this adventure.
Aphelion will release in 2026 on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
