Soulframe

Soulframe continues to work on changes to Preludes builds, and the team is showing off some of the updates made  in Prelude 9. In a short video the team posted to YouTube, Digital Extremes showed off a rework of bow combat for Soulframe, with fluid mechanics and new dynamics.

Rogues and archers rejoice, as Prelude 9 is bringing “back to range” with a revamp of bow combat. If you’ve been taking a break from helping Digital Extremes test their upcoming fantasy game, you’ll want to come back and give it another go. In addition to bow upgrades, Prelude 9 introduces a new weapon called the Odiac, expands faction interactions with fun, repeatable actions called Paths, and lets players choose from three new pacts tied to Spirit, Courage, or Grace, each offering unique gameplay benefits.

The team didn’t stop at just sharing what’s already available in Prelude 9, and shared plans for the future. Prelude 10 will also continue the trajectory of expansion and innovation in the world of Soulframe. Combat is once again receiving a major focus, with secondary weapon slots, new enemy types, new armor, and damage classifications. Lore buffs will also find improvements to the faction dynamics, so stay tuned for updates related to the next Prelude, which is just a few months away. Prelude 9 came out just 3 months after Prelude 8, so if the content schedule holds up, players will be able to get their hands on Prelude 10 this summer.
