You'll have to be patient before you get the chance to play as Ciri in The Witcher 4. Announced at The Game Awards last December, the game won't actually be playable for a while.
This was the outcome of CD Projekt's 2024 results presentation. The Polish company's CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, dismissed the possibility of a launch within the next two years.
"We will not yet announce the exact launch date of the game. All we can share now to give more visibility to investors is that the game will not launch within the first target of the incentive program, which ends on December 31, 2026."
The program Nielubowicz is referring to is intended to align the goals of management with those of the CD Projekt group. In any case, this means that The Witcher 4 will be released no earlier than 2027.
