While Atomfall is primarily a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world, the developers wanted to appeal to all players. That's why the title will feature five difficulty modes when it releases on March 27th.
It is through a long explanatory video that we can discover these famous modes.
- “Sightseer” (Sighing): A pressure-free mode for those who prefer to follow the narrative and focus on exploring
- Investigator: For those who enjoy unguided exploration, but prefer easier combat and survival.
- Brawler: For players who enjoy combat, but prefer guided exploration and a lighter survival dimension
- "Survivor": The classic Atomfall experience , with a good balance between combat and survival
- “Veteran”: Intense battles with heavy consequences and a constant battle for survival
It's also worth noting that difficulty settings like enemy count, aggression, and accuracy can be adjusted. The same goes for the survival section, with the ability to change health regeneration rates, loot rarity, and player resilience.
Finally, when it comes to exploration, you'll be able to enable or disable the compass, navigation cues, unlimited sprinting, and various markers on the map.
