The latest rumors from several insiders indicate that Microsoft has more games planned for release next year than we know. Some people online are speculating that State of Decay 3 will be one of them , but a well-known journalist doesn't think so.
During the latest episode of the Xbox Two Podcast, Windows Central editor Jez Corden revealed that Microsoft was originally planning to release Undead Labs' new game in 2025, but it may now be pushed back to 2026. With the developers still yet to show off any full gameplay of State of Decay 3, this delay is a real possibility.
However, Microsoft has already announced the release of several major games for next year (Avowed, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Fable and The Outer Worlds 2), so for Undead Labs the additional time to develop its zombie action game will only be a plus.
