Gran Turismo 7

Sony and Polyphony Digital have announced that the 1.29 update of Gran Turismo 7  will be available from 7:00 on February 21, introducing a large number of new features to the video game. Thanks to this update, the racing game will welcome support for the PlayStation VR2, a race against an enhanced AI, a classic GT track and 5 new cars, all new shown in the presentation trailer of the new update.

Starting from the main novelty introduced by the free update 1.29, thanks to it players will be able to try for the first time all the races and game modes (excluding the split-screen mode for 2 players) entirely in Virtual Reality thanks to the PS VR2 . Furthermore, with the new Sony viewer it will also be possible to access the exclusive "Showroom VR" area through the Garage or at the in-game dealerships, so as to admire the car models up close in high definition, with various lighting conditions.

The new Gran Turismo 7 update also adds Gran Turismo Sophy in Race Together mode, only on PS5. For those who don't know who it is, Sophy is the new racing AI, developed in collaboration between Sony AI, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital. The “Gran Turismo Sophy Race Together” mode offers Gran Turismo players of all skill levels the opportunity to go head-to-head with GT Sophy in GT7.

This special mode, available as a limited-time in-game event from February 21st to the end of March), was born as a sort of preview of GT Sophy in GT7, with the development team collecting player feedback in the meantime to understand how improve it in the future.

In the GT Sophy Race Together mode it will be possible to face GT Sophy on four circuits of increasing difficulty, as a Beginner / Intermediate / Expert driver. In each of the four races, the player will face four cars driven by GT Sophy of different skill levels. It is also possible to challenge GT Sophy in 1v1 mode.

Moving on to the new circuit included, it is Grand Valley which returns with Highway 1, thus allowing fans to enjoy the return of a classic Gran Turismo track but enriched in this case by a renewed look.

Finally, we conclude by mentioning the five new cars arriving in Gran Turismo 7: Honda RA272 '65, Italdesign EXENEO Vision Gran Turismo Road and off-road mode, Citroën DS 21 Pallas '70, Porsche 911 Carrera RS (901) '73 and finally Scapes.
