With the announcement of Chris' arrival, SNK has reinforced the dream that many of us had of being able to enjoy the full Orochi team again after a week without character news in King of Fighters 15.
If you're familiar with the character from previous editions, you'll notice that his expressions haven't changed much, which isn't a bad thing. The Chain Slide Touch and Twister Drive Super make triumphant returns, according to the teaser, but the character's classic desperation move, which awakened the Orochi powers, appears to have turned into a barrage of attacks.
Both Chris and his teammates Shermie and Yashiro made their saga debut in the 97th edition of King of Fighters, where they were members of the New Faces squad, which would later turn into a pivotal part of the IP's history. In reality, until King of Fighters 14, the characters were considered dead in franchise canon.
Unfortunately, the announcement of this much-anticipated character does not provide any details about the title's release date or the platforms on which it will be available. We'll have to wait another week, but there's still hope.
