2020 was a very good year for Sega despite the global situation regarding Covid-19. They also see it from the Metacritic site with the publication of the ranking of the best distributors of 2020 that has the Sonic company topping the list. A very interesting fact about this ranking is that companies are scored based on the ratings their games received on the platform , which adds additional merit to the position.
Sega climbed 17 spots based on the same list from the previous year, boasting a solid 81.6 grade, mostly earned by all of Atlus' developer accolades. Persona 5 Royal, for example, is Sega's top ranked game on the site , while Yakuza 0 follows pretty closely alongside other company titles.

Other highlights include Football Manager 2021, Two Point Hospital, and Total War. Also included are some DLCs from Total War Three Kingdoms and Total War: Troy, a saga that is obviously considered a true gem by fans (and very deservedly, by the way).
Surprisingly the second position in the ranking is held by Annapurna which has established itself as one of the most prolific indie game distributors in the last two years and whose products have earned it a green score in all categories of the platform.
