We expected the weapons of Black Ops Cold War to come strong to the Call of Duty battle royale, but maybe not that much. The Modern Warfare arsenal still has pearls like the M4A1, the CR-56 AMAX or the MP5 itself, which are real beasts in their categories and in good hands can cause real havoc. However, Cold War weapons are much more, say, accessible than those (that is, they don't require as much skill to kill) and they work much better.
If we take the current goal as an example we will see it quite clearly. We start with the DMR 14, that tactical rifle that everyone currently uses in Warzone and that can literally knock you down with a couple of bullets and finish you off with a third to the head. We talk about that, of a 30-round magazine, you only have to hit three on the enemy. To be honest, any player can do that. Giving three rounds from a magazine this long and with the cadence of the DMR is not impossible. Not even close.
We now continue with the secondary that dominates the battlefield: the Mac10. This submachine gun that in other Call of Duty has not served as a paperweight, can now destroy at short and medium distances. Yes, half. More even than the MP5. The Mac10 can carry up to 53 rounds in the magazine, which while it is true that they fly very fast due to their cadence and bullet speed, it does not take many to kill, and its precision, both pointing and from the hip, makes it extremely easy to aim to miss as little as possible.
We are at a standstill right now. Even new snipers, as HusKerrs demonstrates in a new video, can perform better than Modern Warfare. And if not, click on the video and see how he uses the Tundra with an iron scope.
Treyarch, Raven Software and Activision need to put an end to all of this as soon as possible. Warzone has changed radically since the arrival of Black Ops Cold War, and not exactly for the better. It is clear that the most powerful weapons are now in the new game so the community bought it to level them up in multiplayer and be able to test them more in depth. But this is overdoing it.
