Path of Exile 2 targets its release in 2022

The popular RPG Path of Exile already has its little brother on the way. According to Chris Wilson, head of Grinding Gear Games, Path of Exile 2 would be being released next year, if all goes well. The game was announced in 2019, but due to the global situation, the studio has had to face numerous challenges in its development , as Wilson explained to PC Gamer .

Chris Wilson assured that the team is working all it can, and that he hopes to be able to give an estimated launch date for the end of 2021. However, he assured that the game would finally go on sale in 2022 , with a high probability.

I hate to blame COVID for things, but that's a big part right now. We have had difficulty contracting internationally because the borders with New Zealand are closed, so it has reduced the exponential growth of our asset creation team a bit, "he said, adding that" development progress has not been as fast as we wanted , so our goal is to strike as hard as we can during 2021 on the Path of Exile 2 stuff and see how far we go.

Path of Exile is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and very soon it will receive its first DLC, titled Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas , available starting this January 15.
