Pokémon GO

Pokémon GO celebrated its fourth anniversary last summer in a year that has continued to receive updates and changes to the coronavirus. Niantic does not want to stop introducing news and has revealed all that he is working on and that will become available over the next few weeks. All of them will be part of the GO Beyondupdate, the largest that has received the game so far and on which we will review everything that is coming.
Seasons of the year

Niantic wants Pokémon GO to better reflect the time of year we are in depending on whether we reside in the northern or southern hemisphere. This will be thanks to the seasons, with which every three months the game will pass through spring, summer, autumn and winter with measures that will affect the Pokémon that will appear.

For example, when it's winter, you'll be more likely to find snow-related pokémon or Ice-like Pokémon, while where it's summer, it's easier to find Fire-type Pokémon like Darumaka. The same will affect the different forms of Deerling, the Pokémon that will hatch from the Eggs and Pokémon Bosses that will appear in the Raid Battles.

Along with this there will be thematic events based on the seasons and will also vary the Megaevolute Pokémon of the Raid Battles depending on the time of year. And there won't be everything left, because the GO Combat League will also be modified when the seasons come into force.

From then on there will be 24 different ranks with their respective names and badges. This will be accompanied by new rewards, exclusive prizes and each season will begin on the same day the season changes. All this from December 1, whichwill give rise to a new special research task to celebrate it called"The Season of Celebration".

Increase in the maximum level and PCs of Pokémon

So far Pokémon GO Trainers could only climb to level 40, limiting entertainment for many players who have been at the maximum level for a while. However, it will soon be possible to climb to level 50,but until that time comes players will have more facilities than ever to reach level 40.

To make this possible from November 30 to December 31, you will gain twice as much experience for all kinds of activities, whether it's catching Pokémon, evolving them or hatching Eggs, for example. Thus, everyone who reaches level 40 before next year will receive a Gyarados Cap and a special Legacy 40 badge in return.

However, as soon as the level range is increased, it doesn't mean it's going to be so easy to reach 50, because each level will challenge you to accomplish a series of tasks that will consist of catching a certain amount of Pokémon, evolving Eevee in its various phases, winning fights, defeating Team GO Rocket members, or for example beating your leaders with Pokémon with less than 1,5000 PCs. This will make it even more entertaining to level up.

In addition, Pokémon can become stronger than ever thanks to XL Candies, new items that can be obtained by catching Pokémon or combining normal candies. And if that's not enough, new mechanics will be added during the week of November 30 that will affect how you catch Pokémon, gifts, the Synchro adventure feature, and more.

The arrival of the sixth generation of the saga

On December 2nd the Pokémon GO Pokédex will be expanded on the occasion of the arrival of Pokémon from the Kalos region, that is, those corresponding to the sixth generation of the saga. At the moment only a small amount of them will appear, either wildly or when hatching the Eggs and will be all of the following:

  • Braixen
  • Bunnelby
  • Chesnaught
  • Chespin
  • Delphox
  • Diggersby
  • Fennekin
  • Fletchling
  • Fletchinder
  • Froakie
  • Frogadier
  • Greninja
  • Litleo
  • Quilladin
  • Pyroar
  • Talonflame

To make it easier to run into any of them, from December 2 to December 8, the likelihood of any of them appearing wildly will be increased. And along with them Niantic has anticipated the addition of a new type of Mystery Egg in a Star Raid, but at the moment he has not wanted to offer any more details.
